I enjoy explaining my research to the general public and engaging younger people who are interested in STEM subjects.

2019

• Quantum technologies ambassador (UK QComms Hub) Part of scheme that promotes the study of quantum theory at university. Conducted a two hour session on classical and quantum cryptography. Slides and code to be made available

• Volunteer for Royal Institute’s Masterclasses Helped run several sessions that aim to promote mathematics to secondary school students.

2018

• STEM Fair Ran stall discussing cryptography at Sunderland College STEM event. Materials available somewhere as well…

2017

• Organised postgraduate seminars Ran weekly seminars for postgraduate students within the mathematics department.
